MORNING:

Take time to explore Salts Mill and see David Hockney's "The Arrival of Spring." This is a truly stunning collection of landscape artworks that Hockney created on his iPad in 2011 and then printed at an impressive size to make them look even more amazing.

A day trip option is to visit the nearby Cartwright Hall Art Gallery, which has a collection of 19th and 20th century British art, contemporary prints, and South Asian art.  Then, stretch your legs in Lister Park, admire the Mughal Water Garden, and spend some time sketching before lunch.

LUNCH:
