Children in Roman costumes by Laura Mate

About

There is always plenty for children to do in the House on weekends, such as the dressing-up box, decorating with chalk, and arts and crafts. But visit us every second Saturday of the month for a special family fun session guided by our volunteers and staff, with a new activity each time!

READY, SET, GO!

8 JUNE: Play with traditional games and toys, and colour with chalk in the courtyard.

10 AUGUST: Participate in the llkley Manor House Olympics, inspired by Paris 2024!

7-8, 14-15 SEPT: For this year's Heritage Open Days, make your own Roman road, colour in Roman characters, follow the trail around the fort, & dress up as Roman soldiers.

12 OCT: Make your own Roman shield!

9 NOV: Take inspiration from this month's exhibition and print shapes and patterns.

14 DEC: Hand-print Christmas cards and decorations.
