Most recognisable for his groundbreaking role of Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and Torchwood, Malcolm Merlyn in Arrow and his numerous Saturday night entertainment shows. John featured as a judge on Dancing On Ice; Any Dream Will DoHow Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria, and I'd do Anything. As a celebrity contestant he appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and Strictly Come Dancing.

His vast West End and Broadway musical credits include leading roles in Anything GoesSunset BoulevardChicagoEvita, Miss Saigon, CompanyBeauty and the Beast and Phantom of the Opera.
