About

Join us for an extravaganza of games culture, design and production as we celebrate all things gaming across two weeks of exciting activity.

Next year, the festival will include the industry and careers-focused Game Talks conference, family gaming fun across the museum, schools' days and plenty more exciting events to be announced in the coming months.

Game talks

12–13 February

Game Talks is the Yorkshire Games Festival’s unique programme of talks and events featuring guests from across the games industry. Improve your knowledge and employability; be inspired and network.

Game Talks is for industry professionals, recent graduates and students studying games-related subjects.

Talks

In 2025, you can expect fantastic speakers exploring a range of roles in the industry as well as exciting fringe events including opportunities to network for real career advice.

The talks cover a wide range of topics, from specific disciplines like 3D Art and Narrative Design, to soft skills topics which will help you on your path to a future career in games. Previously Game Talks has welcomed talented creators from the best international developers including Naughty Dog, CD Projekt RED, Square Enix, Epic Games and many more.

Stay tuned to find out more about the exciting talks programme coming to the museum next year.

Workshops

Alongside the talks programme, Yorkshire Games Festival will again host a range of workshops to help you get a more in-depth and hands-on experience from industry professionals.

These events will be open to anyone with a pass to either day of Game Talks and will be sign-up on a first come, first served basis.
