There are many towns and villages across the Bradford district which are worth stopping off to explore, some are busy local high streets with a range of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, others are smaller with just a few local services, all will offer you a warm welcome.
Close to Haworth and set in the scenic Brontë countryside you will find the villages of Oakworth, Oxenhope and Stanbury. Just across the hill is Thornton, famous as the birthplace of the Brontës.
Down the valley you will find the busy town of Keighley, starting point of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway and with a wide range of shops, services and facilities. Along the Aire Valley you will find the towns of Bingley, Shipley and Baildon, all with their own character and selection of things to do.
