Baildon is a small town located a short distance from Saltaire. The town stretches from Roberts Park in Saltaire to Rombalds Moor, and therefore there is lots of fantastic walking throughout the area. Baildon is also proud to be a Walkers are Welcome town and has a range of walking trails incorporating the town and the surrounding countryside, including scenic Shipley Glen. Visit Bracken Hall Countryside Centre to discover more about the local flora and fauna or take part in their regular events. Denso Marston Nature Reserve also hold regular nature events throughout the year.
The town is home to a busy monthly Farmers Market where you can pick up a range of delicious local produce. Baildon also has a great selection of independent shops from butchers, florists, a deli, to a proper sweet shop. The town hosts a number of events throughout the year such as August bank holiday's Harley Davidson biker rally and the Scarecrow Festival.
There is a train station in Baildon which takes you directly to Bradford and Ilkley, or change at Shipley for Leeds.
