Top Withens is a ruined farmhouse set among dramatic Pennine moorland near Haworth. It is said to have been the inspiration for Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. The ruin lies on the Pennine Way, a popular walking destination.
High on Ilkley Moor the Cow and Calf Rocks are a large rock formation consisting of an outcrop and boulder, also known as Hangingstone Rocks. The rocks are a great place to climb and the moor offers spectacular views of Ilkley and beyond.
Hewenden Viaduct an impressive viaduct standing 123 feet tall and spanning over 500m. The structure was originally built as part of the Great Northern Railway and is now a trail for cyclists and walkers.
St. Ives Estate is a wonderful country park with woodlands and paths throughout. The Adventure Playground is a fantastic feature for the children, and Coppice Pond offers both fishing opportunities, and a chance to feed the ducks.
The longest canal in Britain constructed as a single waterway is the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. With well-travelled towpath sections, the canal passes through Bingley, Saltaire, and Shipley.
