EP7 : Bradford District at Night in this episode, John Foster takes you on a journey to discover some of the exciting options the area has to offer for a night out. From visiting Haworth, the home of the Brontë sisters, to taking in a performance at the renowned Ilkley Playhouse, finding a hidden gem of a live music venue in Saltaire, and catching a movie at the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford, this episode offers a glimpse into the diverse cultural experiences available in the district.
Ep6 : Bradford District In this episode, John Foster takes a closer look at the Bradford District with a visit to a movie star heritage railway, a tour of a brand-new art studio business, lunch at a culinary hot spot in Ilkley and a chat with local up-and-coming screenwriter Kamal Kaan.
Ep5: Returning to Bradford, John Foster explores both the industrial and spiritual past of the city and looks at Bradford's bright future through the many and varied museums and attractions to be found throughout the district.
Ep4: John Foster visits the picturesque town of Ilkley, situated in the Wharfe Valley at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales. The former spa town rose to fame in the nineteenth century when thousands visited to take the waters and breathe in the fresh invigorating air.
Ep3: Saltaire is at UNESCO World Heritage Site, thanks to its preservation as a Victorian industrial village. Mill owner Sir Titus Salt built the village for his workers and in this episode, John Foster finds out why Saltaire attracts millions of visitors to the area every year.
Ep2: Haworth sits in the Worth Valley surrounded by dramatic moorlands. The village is most famous for being the place which inspired the Brontë sisters to write their world famous novels. In this episode, John Foster explores this fascinating and individual village, which is centred around the steep cobbled Main Street.
Ep1: Bradford is a city steeped in heritage and brimming with culture. A city made famous by its wool trade, Bradford now leads the way as a UNESCO City of Film, is home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts a number of world class visitor attractions, as John Foster finds out.
