About

Bradford is the youngest city in Europe. 29% of our population is under 20. We are the 29%.

29% Festival is a free festival of live performance, music, dance, art and workshops, celebrating Bradford’s young people & young artists, held at Common Space from 26th – 28th of July. We are offering paid commissions for young Bradford artists to create new work across any artform to premier at the festival, so keep your eyes peeled for new acts from Bradford’s up and coming DJs, rappers, drag artists, comedians and writers, performing at our Collaboration Cabaret & Youth Music Nights.

Get involved in workshops from Speakers Corner & youth groups from across the district including crafting, bhangra dance and Take Up Space workshops. There will be original productions from Common Wealth’s Performance Collective & Youth Theatre Lab, a daytimer and a programme of beautiful & chaotic public acts dreamt up by young people of all ages.
