Rye Lane

About

Celebrate Black History Month at Pictureville this October with a selection of screenings that shine a spotlight on black voices and stories in cinema.

Fall head over heels with British romcom Rye Lane, delve deeper into the mysteries of the Spider-Verse with Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse or learn more about the incredible, untold story of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn, Mary Jackson in Hidden Figures – three African American women working at NASA, whose genius helped launch the first American into orbit. These titles champion joy, creativity and innovation, whilst highlighting the resilience and contributions of black individuals to science, culture, and society.
