Two men with instruments

About

The Washboard Resonators return to Ilkley Manor House on 14 November for more foot-stomping fun!

The Washboard Resonators are a duo with a full vaudevillian stage show, mixing 1920s and 30s blues, jazz, ragtime, and swing. They combine the influences of their favourite artists like Louis Armstrong, Fred Astaire, George Formby, The Washboard Rhythm Kings and Blind Boy Fuller into something new.

“1920s & 30s blues and ragtime is in safe hands.” ~ rootstime.be

The band has played at major blues and jazz festivals, recorded four albums, an EP at Sun Studios in Memphis, been inducted into the national archive at The British Library, and is touring the UK twice a year to sold-out audiences.

“This duo packs more musical punch than most.” ~ The Syncopated Times
