About

The past and present of the Bradford textile industry are explored in this exhibition featuring beautiful costume, fascinating sample books and tools from the industry. Objects from our designated worsted collection sit alongside stunning visuals taken by photographer Ian Beesley

Bradford born photographer Ian Beesley is an award winning and internationally acclaimed artist and photographer. During the 1970s and 80s, Ian was given the opportunity to photograph inside the working mills of Bradford. For this exhibition, Ian has revisited Bradford’s textile industry once again, capturing how it has changed in the decades since.

Come and appreciate the skill and creativity that makes Bradford a world leader in textile production and design.
