On the 10th September the public can come and visit East Riddlesden Hall, near Keighley for free.

Heritage Open Days is England’s largest festival of history and culture; every year, thousands of volunteers and supporters organise events that allow us to discover hidden places and try out new experiences. Heritage Open Days is presented by the National Trust with support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

Amy Gregory, Collections and House Officer said “the free heritage events give people the opportunity to come and see the collection here who might not be able to usually. The Hall has a long history with strong ties into the local community, and we can’t wait for people to come and enjoy it”.

As well as visiting the house and gardens for free, families can enjoy lawn games in the formal gardens, the new puppet theatre and giant scales in the Discovery Garden, balancing along the trim trail or trying out crafting in the Discovery Room.

The hall, gardens, tearoom, and shop will be open 10am – 4pm, Saturday – Wednesday, last entry at 15:30

Every visit to East Riddlesden Hall helps us look after this special place, from taking care of our collections to looking after nature in the gardens.
