Kick off the Summer with evenings of comedy at The Studio, Bradford. We’ve got a Britain’s Got Talent finalist making a comeback, returning favourites and TV sensations.
Anuvab Pal returns on official business with his new show, The Department of Britishness. Post-Brexit, the British Government want to sell the idea of Britishess to India, and they’ve hired just the man for the job. He will be explaining why Indians should embrace Britishness, having done it himself.
With popular specials on Amazon Prime, and appearances on QI and The Big Asian Stand-Up, Anuvab Pal will be performing at The Studio, Bradford on Thursday 30 May. Age guidance: 15+
Returning to The Studio, Bradford, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Emmanuel Sonubi presents a whistle stop tour through the jobs that have led him to become one of the hottest stand-ups on the circuit with new show Curriculum Vitae.
Emmanuel will be taking the audience on a hilarious and sometimes poignant journey that explores the professions he’s had prior to becoming a comedian, and discussing how those experiences helped shaped his comedic voice.
As well as headlining Live at the Apollo, Emmanuel Sonubi has appeared in several other TV shows, including QI, Alan Davies As Yet Untitled, Pointless Celebrities and many more. He will be coming to The Studio, Bradford on Saturday 1 June. Age guidance: 14+
Daliso Chaponda is revisiting his debut show and bringing Feed This Black Man Again to The Studio, Bradford on Saturday 8 June.
20 years ago, Daliso Chaponda debuted with his first show Feed This Black Man. The jokes were mediocre, there was a rap about poverty (which is as offensive as you might imagine) and the big finale involved a sandwich on stage.
Now a widely loved comic, he is revisiting the themes of that ancient debut show with the considerably enhanced comic talents that two decades’ experience brings you. Age guidance: 14+
The Muslims Are Coming back to The Studio, Bradford. A comedy night with a whole heap of hilal-hilarity with a memorable line up of both established and new comedy talent.
Acts: Tez Ilyas (Mock The Week, Comedy Central), Muhsin Yesilda (One Minute Smoke), Farham Solo (So You Think You’re Funny) and Nabil Abdulrashid (BBC Live At The Apollo, ITV Stand Up Sketch Show). Join this hilarious line up at The Studio, Bradford on Friday 14 June. Age guidance: 16+
Sukh keeps being told that she’s successful, so why does she still feel like a toddler who has lost their mum in Tesco’s? Approaching 40, Sukh Ojla is trying to figure out middle age, pretending to be a grown up and experiencing the joy of a Tupperware set. She’ll be performing at The Studio, Bradford on Friday 12 July.
Ojla has made several TV appearances including on The Big Asian Stand-Up Show (BBC), Comedy Guide to Life (Dave), Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club (ITV) and Comedy Central Live. Age guidance: 16+
