2025 is going to be a huge year, with Bradford taking the spotlight as the UK’s City of Culture. At Bradford Theatres, we’re bringing you the very best in live entertainment to celebrate. Whether you're into stand-up comedy, music, drama, or musical theatre, we've got something for everyone at our iconic venues – the Alhambra Theatre, St George’s Hall, The Studio, and King’s Hall in Ilkley.

One of the biggest highlights? The multi-award-winning Hamilton is coming to the Alhambra Theatre for a 7-week run as part of its first-ever UK and Ireland tour. It's the only place in Yorkshire where you can catch this spectacular show. We’ve also got some incredible dance performances lined up, including Akram Khan’s Jungle Book Reimagined, Dance Consortium’s UK tour of Dragons by celebrated South Korean choreographer Eun-Me Ahn, and appearances from all your favourite Strictly Come Dancing stars.

Pantomime will be making a magical return to the Alhambra Theatre this festive season with the spectacular new panto adventure, Pinocchio. Comedy sensation Billy Pearce leads the cast as toymaker Geppetto, with his prize creation Pinocchio transforming from the famous puppet to a real boy, whose nose grows every time he tells a lie. Joining Billy is Coronation Street star Chris Gascoyne who will take on the role of the evil Stromboli, and Drag Superstar Courtney Act as the Blue Faerie. Featuring stunning sets and costumes, fantastic special effects and laugh-out-loud comedy, the 2024 Alhambra Theatre panto is guaranteed to be a spectacle!

The highly acclaimed Akram Khan Company is performing in Bradford for the first time. Akram Khan’s Jungle Book reimagined is a new work (first performed in 2022) based on the much-loved story by Rudyard Kipling. With a new sense of urgency, Akram has reinterpreted this known story from another perspective, through the lens of today’s children – those who will inherit our world and become our future storytellers. Jungle Book reimagined speaks to all generations as a step to remind, to relearn and to reimagine a new world together. Supported by Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s multi-award-winning cultural phenomenon Hamilton is touring the UK for the very first time and is coming to the Alhambra Theatre for a 7-week season from Tuesday 28 January 2025. Hamilton is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the very foundations of the America we know today. Winner of 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical, 7 Olivier Awards, the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album.

Dragons by celebrated South Korean choreographer Eun-Me Ahn is a joyful riot of dance, music and non-stop movement that brings together modern and traditional dance styles from across Asia. Eun-Me Ahn is one of the most important artists in South Korea. Her dance company has performed at 11 major international festivals, including the 2002 FIFA world cup in South Korea.
