Spellbinding Short Stories Will Launch 2025 Literary Events Programme

To launch award-winning Independent Bookshop Wave of Nostalgia’s 2025 literary events programme, author, Poet and March Violets Singer Rosie Garland will be making a welcome return to launch her latest book Your Sons and Daughters Are Beyond.

At 7PM on Wednesday 22nd January she will be signing books, discussing and reading from this spellbinding short story collection which explores extraordinary people defying expectations.

Both natural and supernatural, these enchanting yet disquieting stories unveil the extraordinary within ordinary people. Rosie deftly unveils our deepest fears and desires, embracing transformative potential. Brace for a journey pushing imagination's limits, where the impossible becomes reality.

Wave of Nostalgia, Winner of the Northern Region Independent Bookshop of the Year, loves to champion strong women. Owner Diane Park is really looking forward to welcoming Rosie back to Haworth. She says “2024’s evening with Rosie was one of the highlights of our best-ever programme of literary events. Last year we welcomed over fifty authors to Haworth to entertain and inform book lovers from all over the area. We also organised around forty more events such as World Book Day school events, book groups, LGBTQ coffee mornings, charity fundraisers and writing workshops. In total that’s almost double the previous year – a lot of hard work, but really rewarding when we get fantastic feedback from those who attend. We’re really excited about this year’s programme – we already have fourteen top quality authors booked and there will be many, many more.
