Easter Eggcitement
Follow the Easter trail through the gardens of NT East Riddlesden Hall in Keighley from 5th-23rd April to complete a variety of nature-inspired activities and claim a chocolate treat once you finish.
Board the Haworth Haddock at Oxenhope station for a journey on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway on Saturday, 5th April. You’ll be whisked along the line through beautiful scenery, and best of all, you’ll be served a delicious, fresh portion of fish and chips.
Enjoy a day of eco-friendly crafting at the Bradford Industrial Museum on Friday, 11th April. You’ll take a variety of old fabrics and use them to create a fantastic Easter wreath to take home and display.
Take a peek at who’s hiding under the old logs at Denso Marson Nature Reserve in Baildon on Saturday, 12th April. In this guided walk you’ll discover all the animals and insects that like to hide away in these dark havens.
Celebrate World Heritage Day in Saltaire on Saturday, 12th April. There’ll be live music to enjoy throughout the event as well as exhibitions, activities and a spectacular after-dark parade to complete the day.
Enter a world of pure imagination at Hollins Hall in Baildon on Sunday, 13th April. The picturesque hall will be filled with all manner of chocolate-y goodies for you to uncover as you explore the world of Hollins and the Chocolate Factory.
Enter a pub Quiz with a difference in It's Your Round in Wibsey Park, Bradford on Thursday, 17th April. Quizmistress Pat Pinch will be putting your knowledge to the test over several rounds as part of a series of events at the mobile Bradford 2025 venue the Beacon.
Come down to Bradford city centre on Saturday 19th April and experience an on-street Springtime Storytelling event with children’s favourites from Beatrix Potter and Alice in Wonderland. There’ll be loads of fun for little ones taking place throughout the day.
Cheer on the plucky racers of the annual Ilkley Duck Race at New Brook Street Bridge on Saturday, 19th April. These speedy fellows have swapped the bathtub for the river, where only one can be crowned champion. Don’t forget to buy your duck before the race starts for a chance to share the glory!
Marvel at the beautiful cherry blossoms at Bolling Hall in Bradford on Sunday, 27th April, at the Cherry Blossom Festival. Help plant flowers, watch the Morris dancers, get your face painted and more at this charming annual event.
This month there are some truly fantastic shows and concerts on their way to the Bradford district. West End smash hit Six is heading to the stage at the Alhambra Theatre alongside classic opera Madama Butterfly. Gardener Adam Frost will be taking audiences into the garden shed for an intimate show at King’s Hall in Ilkley, whilst Ella Tighe brings new show Disco Queen to The Studio in Bradford. Meanwhile, Bingley Arts Centre will be going to Narnia with a new production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Music fans will love concerts by the ever-popular Plumhall at Black Dyke Mills Heritage Venue and the Hall Brothers at the Topic Folk Club located at hullabaloo in Shipley. In Ilkley, John Shuttleworth will ‘Raise the Oof’ at King’s Hall whilst the Wild Murphys play all the hits at Ilkley Playhouse. Bradford 2025 presents the Big Brass Blowout from 11th – 13th April. Enjoy a weekend of musical fun with live events across the city, featuring everything from traditional classics to Afrobeat rhythms, family film soundtracks and unique collaborations. Don't miss the free stage in Centenary Square and concerts throughout Bradford!
