Shopmobility

Shopmobility in Bradford District offers free mobility equipment hire to help visitors with limited mobility access shops and services. Locations include The Broadway Bradford and Keighley Town Hall, providing powered scooters, wheelchairs, and walking aids. At the National Science and Media Museum you will find level access and lifts to all floors and a changing places toilet. The museum also offers a quiet room and sensory backpacks available to borrow.  Bradford Museums and Galleries which includes Bradford Industrial, Bolling Hall, and Cliffe Castle Museums and Cartwright Hall Art Gallery provides links to an access guide and a visual story for each location, so that you know what to expect before your visit.

Visitors to Salts Mill can access all floors via the lift and accessible toilets are also available on site.  In Haworth the Brontë Parsonage Museum has some limits to access due the nature of the historic building. However, the museum now has a changing places toilet and  provides clear information on steps, handrails and level access areas, along with a detailed access guide and visual story.

Bradford Theatres venues, Alhambra and St George’s Hall in Bradford and King’s Hall in Ilkley have a shared Access Scheme, where members can access a free essential companion ticket. Shows also regularly include audio described, captioned and relaxed performances. Bradford's newest venue Bradford Live provides step free access to the venue with lift access to all floors. Hearing assistance is available through a loop system; the venue also offers a pre-visit service and the option to register for complimentary essential carer tickets.

Enjoy cinema in the UNESCO City of Film. The Light cinema is accessible by lift and has a varied programme to incorporate a range of adapted screenings. For a visit to the Pictureville, Cubby Broccoli or IMAX cinemas, a visual access guide is available to show the route from the entry to the auditoriums.
