About

Experience a stunning new exhibition by David Hockney featuring a series of 20 iPad flower paintings alongside large-scale works. Hockney describes these as 'new looking fresh pictures of a very beautiful world.' This marks the first time these pieces have been exhibited in the UK outside of London.

Delve into Hockney’s creative journey, starting from a simple vase of flowers observed in low winter sunlight, leading to vibrant depictions of nature. A highlight includes a unique six-screen video installation showcasing his brushstrokes while creating “10th – 22nd June 2021, Water Lilies in the Pond with Pots of Flowers.”

Don’t miss the remarkable 3m x 5m piece, “25th June 2022, Looking at the Flowers (Framed),” where Hockney appears twice, presenting a fresh take on photography with a three-dimensional effect.

Join us in celebrating Bradford’s year as City of Culture and immerse yourself in Hockney’s captivating world!
