Learn how to make your own impressive-looking luxury bath products using natural ingredients and essential oils with Saltaire Soap's Fiona Smith.

Participants will make bath salts, bath melts, bath bombs and bath oil from scratch, and will learn how to scent bubble bath (using a good-quality bubble bath base). As well as the techniques to make all these products, topics covered will include choosing and blending essential oils, essential oil safety, and packaging and presentation of products. Raw materials available will include red, green and pink clay, botanicals such as dried flowers, fruit and spices, and a wide variety of essential oils that will include rose geranium, frankincense, myrrh, vetiver, pine, may chang, mandarin, fir, cypress and black pepper. Packaging will be provided, including bottles, jars, boxes, shred and dried flower petals, and there will be a variety of materials to label and decorate packaging to produce stylishly-presented bath products that will be suitable as Christmas gifts.

Participants will go home with the following custom-packaged and labelled products:

1 x decorated gift bag and 1 x gift tray filled with the products below:

Handout detailing safety and instructions for all the techniques we use, plus information on where to buy supplies and how to adapt recipes.

1 x 360g jar bath salts with green, pink or red clay, dried botanicals and essential oils.

1 x gift box of 4 mini bath melts packaged in flower petals (each sufficient for 1 bath).

4 x large 150g bath bombs (each sufficient for 1 bath) each in a muslin bag.

100ml bubble bath scented with essential oils, in a clear glass bottle with decorative label.

60ml bath oil, scented with essential oils, in a clear glass bottle with decorative label.
