Sustrans invites you to join a nature walk along the newly resurfaced canal path in Saltaire. The event will feature family-friendly Tree ID activities and provide an opportunity to learn about the heritage of the local area.

This off-road walk covers 2.6 miles and will take approximately 1.5 hours, following both riverside and canal paths.

As part of Saltaire World Heritage Day, more information about the festival.

The walks will begin and end at the Sustrans stall, located just under Victoria Bridge on the canal towpath.

Participants are encouraged to book one time slot per person and arrive no more than 15 minutes before their scheduled time. These sessions are suitable for adults and children aged seven and up, offering an easy-grade introduction to walking along the towpaths. Attendees will have the chance to learn some history and observe the wildlife present along the waterways.

Parents and guardians must accompany their children during the walk.
