CLIFFE CASTLE MUSEUM | KEIGHLEY

BRADFORD INDUSTRIAL MUSEUM

Discover the story of Bradford's industrial past at the Bradford Industrial Museum. Located in a converted textile mill, this museum is a treasure trove of exhibits that showcase the city's industrial legacy. History enthusiasts, this is a must-visit attraction for you!

Come take a trip down memory lane and find out about Bradford's rich transportation history with the fascinating vintage cars and trolleybuses and a special focus on the locally manufactured Jowett cars like Jupiter and Javelin. Don't miss the chance to see the last official Bradford tram, tramcar No.104. 
  4. Check out the Print Gallery to see a variety of historic printing presses that have been instrumental in shaping the industry. Be sure to observe the great Columbian Press, featuring a striking eagle counterweight that showcases the skill and creativity of the time.
  5. History comes to life at the Bradford Industrial Museum! Visit Moorside House and Garden, the former residence of the mill manager, and the back-to-backs from Gaythorne Street dressed to reflect three different time periods.

BOLLING HALL MUSEUM

Visit the historic Bolling Hall Museum, a carefully restored 14th-century building showcasing its rich heritage. View the grand rooms, stunning architecture, and exhibits that make this museum a must-see for history, art, and supernatural enthusiasts.

  2. Are you brave enough to enter the ghost room at Bolling Hall? This spooky spot is notorious for its supernatural and unsettling occurrences. Yet, if you have the nerve to go inside, you will be treated to a breathtaking view of the exquisite authentic wood panelling dating back to the 16th century. 
  3. Uncover the hidden stories of Bolling Hall's Civil War Parlour, where history comes alive.  Step into the footsteps of those who lived and fought during the English Civil War, as you look over the noteworthy collection of artefacts and weapons that provide a glimpse into their lives.
  4. Take in the grandeur of the museum's Red Room, which has the Harewood House Chippendale daybed, which is magnificently decorated with a gold crane.

CARTWRIGHT HALL

Cartwright Hall Art Gallery in Bradford offers something special for art lovers! The collection that spans centuries and artistic movements, featuring works by legends like David Hockney, Andy Warhol, and more. Delve into Asian textiles and study the delicate strokes of calligraphy.

BRONTË PARSONAGE MUSEUM
