BRADFORD

Bolling Hall

BOLLING HALL

Delve into the mysteries of Bolling Hall in Bradford, a historic building with Medieval elements and ghostly tales. Notably, a legend from 1643 tells of the Earl of Newcastle, who was visited by a spirit in the Ghost Room. Go to see Halloween @ Bolling Hall: Halloween Hyacinths and the Case of the Cheeky Boggart  on Thursday, 31 October. Enjoy storytelling at the library, plant Halloween-themed hyacinth bulbs, and decorate pots to take home. Alternatively, join the Ghostly Tours for Tweens, featuring a guided tour by the resident ghoul. Bookings are required!

EAST RIDDLESDEN HALL

Step back in time at NT East Riddlesden Hall in Keighley, a 17th-century National Trust estate with eerie tales, including the legend of the Grey Lady, a spirit from the civil war. From 26 – 30 October, families can enjoy the Half-Term Pumpkin Trail, searching for hidden figures and real pumpkins in the gardens. Don't miss the discovery room to make your own spooky Halloween bat!

KEIGHLEY AND WORTH VALLEY RAILWAY

Experience the magic of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway this Halloween with the Spooky Express (29 - 30 October), featuring thrilling performances and delightful singing. For an extra scare, hop on the Scare Train (Thursday, 31 October), complete with a haunted engine shed. Gather your Halloween costumes for a day of joy, excitement, and a touch of fright!

This Grade II* listed building in the centre of Halifax was built in the 1860s and designed by Sir Charles Barry, who also designed the Houses of Parliament! It’s impossible not to be blown away by the grandeur of the town hall, but it has a more sinister side too! The town hall is said to be haunted by a former mayor who wanders the halls in his mayoral robes. You can get your own ‘behind the scenes’ access to the Town Hall by requesting a full tour with Halifax Heritage Tours CIC.

VICTORIA THEATRE

Are you brave enough to face the darkness? Join the Victoria Theatre in Halifax on Friday, 11 October, for The Haunting of Blaine Manor. This thrilling chiller will take you on a journey through a twisted history of madness and witchcraft. Grab your tickets now!

THE FLEECE INN | ELLAND

Check out the Fleece Inn in Elland, a charming 17th-century pub in Yorkshire known for its excellent ales and ghost stories. Recognised as one of England's most haunted locations, visitors report eerie sounds and sightings of spectral figures. Its haunted history was featured on 'Most Haunted' with Yvette Fielding, attracting both thrill-seekers and history enthusiasts.

Shibden Hall

Step into the 15th-century Shibden Hall, once home to the extraordinary Anne Lister, who is said to still wander its corridors.
